I booked a room at this motel for a very low price, which set my expectations correspondingly. While the place was mostly clean and the mattress comfortable, the overall condition left much to be desired. The room was shabby, with peeling paint and stained towels, which really detracted from the experience. I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you’re looking for anything over basic accommodations, as it falls short in terms of charm and comfort.

I had mixed feelings about my stay. On the plus side, the staff were genuinely nice and tried their best to help. The breakfast was decent, especially the sausage gravy, which my husband loved. However, the room I initially booked was not what I expected, especially since it did not have the jacuzzi tub that I had hoped for. Additionally, my excitement turned to dread when I discovered bedbugs on my last night, which really tainted the experience.

The room was clean, but I was disappointed to find that it didn’t match the description I was given. Had to switch rooms due to a serious bug issue.
Service

The front desk staff were exceptionally understanding and accommodating, especially when they moved us to a different room after I reported the issue.

The hotel was a bit far from Cedar Point, which made for a longer drive, but it wasn't too bad overall.

Breakfast was decent for a hotel—nothing fancy, but the sausage gravy was a nice addition.

The pool area looked nice, but we didn’t get a chance to use it since we were out enjoying the park.

I found a solid deal with this hotel, perfect for my stay while attending crane school. The pricing was excellent, and while it’s not luxury lodging, the cleanliness was impressive and made my experience enjoyable. The location is quiet and safe, thanks to the attentive staff, which added to the overall value for my stay. However, the bed could use an upgrade for better comfort.

Room 120 was clean and well-maintained, although the bed was a bit tired.

My experience at this hotel was a mixed bag. While I was upgraded to a whirlpool suite, and the water was plentiful, I definitely had some concerns about cleanliness. The towels were a bit scratchy but overall, the stay was decent. It’s not perfect, but it served its purpose during my visit to see family.

Rooms

The whirlpool suite was a decent size and provided hot water. However, I found the towels to be somewhat scratchy, which wasn't ideal.
Service
9.0
The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating with all my requests, which I really appreciated.

The continental breakfast offered a fair selection with hard boiled eggs and pastries, but it could have used a bit more variety.
Facilities

They have a pool and hot tub, though I didn't use them. I did notice the free computer in the lobby was pretty fast.
